The purpose of this site is as the name implies, all about being frugal in Israel, from the relatively frugal to the extreme. My name is Ronit Peskin, and I'm the author of PennilessParenting.com, and teach classes on foraging wild edibles, mainly in the Jerusalem area but also around the country. We live on a tight budget but always love a good deal; this site is to share my findings with you so that you, too, can benefit from the frugal discoveries I've made, from terrific sales to the best places I've discovered to shop, as well as frugal ways to have fun in Israel.
As I'm based in the Jerusalem area, this site will predominantly be relevant to those in the Jerusalem area, but not exclusively.
